To strengthen our team, Be-Mobile is looking for a backend developer engineer who is interested in journalistic mobility data from various sources. You will be working in a new team where you will be at the heart of all mobility innovations. In this team, various data sources containing accident, road work, weather and other incident information will be aggregated, enriched and used through the whole company. Therefore a high quality is essential and your responsibility. You will implement the technical components, ensure they are properly integrated in production and assist other teams in interpreting the information.

Servicing all journalistic mobility data needs within Be-Mobile means a wide range of challenges and activities:

  • You will investigate new data sources from different countries on both content and technical level
  • You will brainstorm with other teams on how to accommodate specific feature requests in our solutions
  • You can translate and implement designed features into high-quality production code
  • You take charge in checking and testing your own (or others) work in order to get your components ready
  • You ensure all those new solutions run smoothly in our operational platforms
  • You verify the result against country-specific expectations
  • You will document the new solutions so others can easily integrate them in their own projects
  • You maintain the operational environment and a clear overview on the current deployments


As a backend engineer, your most important asset is your mind. You have a problem-solving attitude to find creative solutions and you are not afraid to step up and get things done.

Additionally, we are looking for the following skillset:

  • As we use Go (see golang) throughout our entire stack, experience is seen as a plus
  • You use the right tool for the job and can use all kinds of supporting software e.g. git, jira, bash, …
  • You are not afraid to working with production tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Jenkins
  • You are interested in deployment management
  • You have a positive attitude and appreciate a good, fun working environment
  • You are able to see the content behind the code
