Business Focused Accountant

Job description

As a Business Accountant you play a key role for our business in the Nordics. Apart from being responsible for the more traditional aspects of finance (voucher processing, close, tax, audit, etc.) you’re also involved in business support and management reporting & processes.

  • Analytical transactional processing (purchase and sales vouchers, bank statements, salaries, etc.)
  • Monthly close of the Nordics, including management reporting, variance analysis, etc. (IFRS)
  • Statutory audit according local GAAP
  • Monthly cash flow and cash forecasting
  • Preparation of indirect tax returns (VAT, etc.)
  • Support of the Nordics management team (business processes, sales, projects, cost management, etc.)
  • Preparation of corporate tax returns (in close collaboration with external counsel)
  • Go to person for all other back-office teams with regards to the Nordics (HC, Legal, Strategy, etc.)
  • Various ad-hoc requests (special projects, M&A support, etc.)

You‘ll be part of an international, ambitious and small finance team, reporting directly to the CFO. 

You’ll be working from our HQ in Melle, close to Ghent.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills, result and detail oriented with the right business focus
  • Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task and manage several priorities at the same time
  • Fluent in English (speaking/writing), any other language is a plus (French, Finnish, Swedish, etc.)
  • Bachelor or Master in Accounting
  • 3 to 5 years relevant experience, ideally in an ICT environment
  • Experience with ERP software is a plus (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Strong excel knowledge and tech savvy
