Job description
Be-Mobile, headquartered in Ghent, pioneers in Smart Mobility Solutions on an international level. We offer advanced solutions to measure and manage the traffic flows in order to put travelers, cities, road authorities, parking operators and logistics companies all around the world in control of their mobility processes.
To strengthen our team, Be-Mobile is looking for a Lead QA Engineer who wants to make an impact in a cutting-edge, socially engaged environment and take the lead in shaping our QA approach.
Responsibilities
As a Lead QA Engineer at Be-Mobile, you will take ownership of our QA strategy and ensure high-quality delivery across our platform and products.
In this role, you will be in charge of our end-to-end QA strategy and organization, testing our core platform and key business applications from our different offerings. Your main responsibilities include:
Defining and maintaining our QA strategy, incorporating automation and AI-driven testing approaches to continuously improve quality and efficiency
Managing and interacting with internal and external QA stakeholders, taking their input and feedback and continuously improving our processes and organization.
Managing and supporting a small team of QA engineers
Setting team objectives, following up on results and reporting to internal/external stakeholders
Analyzing both functional and non-functional project requirements and defining test cases and required test data
Creating test planning to meet the overall project deliverables and milestones
Performing risk analysis and defining mitigation actions to proactively tackle potential issues
Running test scenarios and reporting on defects via market standard tool such as JIRA
Providing insights into progress, anomalies and risks associated with the project
Working closely with project managers to provide delivery according to schedule
Participating in and facilitating post project/phase reviews to cultivate a "learning organization"
Job requirements
The must-haves we are looking for are:
A Bachelor’s degree or minimum 3 years of experience in software testing.
Experience across various technologies like test automation, CI/CD-pipelines, API testing and general test tooling (JIRA, TestRail…). Programming knowledge is considered a plus
Experience with or strong interest in AI-driven testing approaches and tools, and how these can improve QA processes
Experience and knowledge of structured tests related to functionality, performance, security and disaster recovery, based on the main standard tests methodologies
Knowledge of the V-model and Agile methodology and being able to apply it on different projects
Demonstrate analysis capacities and interest in the domain
Proven experience in leading teams
Desire to work in an innovative information systems environment and develop a career in testing
Certification in testing such as ISQTB is a plus
